Ce papillon, originaire d&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique du Sud, a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduit en Europe dans les ann\u00e9es 1990 via des importations de palmiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd0e\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/te1\/2\/16\/1f50e.png\"> Un Historique d&rsquo;Invasion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les <a><\/a>premi\u00e8res d\u00e9tections en Gironde remontent \u00e0 environ une dizaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es. Le climat doux de notre r\u00e9gion favorise sa prolif\u00e9ration, ainsi que la pr\u00e9sence des palmiers, qu&rsquo;ils soient ornementaux ou de production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udcc8\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/ta0\/2\/16\/1f4c8.png\"> Une \u00c9volution<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 2024 semble marquer un pic dans les observations de nos explorateurs (\u00e0 \u00e9tudier avec des analyses statistiques). Les palmiers montrent des signes de faiblesse, voire meurent car les larves du papillon se nourrissent de leur c\u0153ur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83c\uddec\ud83c\udde7\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/tf5\/2\/16\/1f1ec_1f1e7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83c\udf34\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t8b\/2\/16\/1f334.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83e\udd8b\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/t5a\/2\/16\/1f98b.png\"> The Palm Moth in Gironde<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent weeks, sightings of the Palm Moth (Paysandisia archon) have been reported to us in Gironde. This moth, originally from South America, was introduced to Europe in the 1990s through the importation of palm trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udd0e\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/te1\/2\/16\/1f50e.png\"> A History of Invasion<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first detections in Gironde date back about ten years. The mild climate of our region, along with the presence of ornamental and production palm trees, favors its spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"16\" width=\"16\" alt=\"\ud83d\udcc8\" src=\"https:\/\/static.xx.fbcdn.net\/images\/emoji.php\/v9\/ta0\/2\/16\/1f4c8.png\"> A Growing Concern<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The year 2024 seems to mark a peak in observations from our explorers (to be studied with statistical analysis).
