?? Phengaris alcon<\/em> ou l’Azur\u00e9 des mouill\u00e8res est une esp\u00e8ce prot\u00e9g\u00e9e en France. Ce papillon a la particularit\u00e9 d’avoir un cycle biologique complexe impliquant une plante h\u00f4te sp\u00e9cifique Gentiana pneumonanthe<\/em> et des fourmis du genre Myrmica<\/em>. L\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, les femelles pondent les \u0153ufs sur la plante h\u00f4te. La chenille se nourrit ensuite de cette plante et apr\u00e8s la derni\u00e8re mue, elle se laisse tomber au sol. Les fourmis Myrmica<\/em> emm\u00e8nent ensuite la chenille dans leur nid. Sous terre, la vie larvaire se poursuit dans le nid des fourmis dans lequel elle se nourrit du couvain de leurs h\u00f4tesses, hiverne et se transforme en chrysalide. Pour \u00eatre tol\u00e9r\u00e9e dans la fourmili\u00e8re, la chenille exsude une s\u00e9cr\u00e9tion nutritive compos\u00e9e d\u2019un m\u00e9lange de substances chimiques. L\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, les papillons \u00e9closent et rampent le long des galeries jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019air libre avant de d\u00e9ployer leurs ailes. A ce stade les individus des deux sexes se retrouvent pour s\u2019accoupler… un nouveau cycle peut alors commencer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Phengaris alcon<\/em> or the Alcon blue is a protected species in France. This butterfly has a complex life cycle involving a specific host plant Gentiana pneumonanthe<\/em> and Myrmica<\/em> ants. In summer, females lay eggs on host plant. The caterpillar then feeds on this plant and after the last moult, it drops to the ground. Myrmica<\/em> ants then take the caterpillar to their nest. Underground, larval life continues in ants nest and caterpillar feeds on brood of their hostesses, winters and turns into a chrysalis. To be tolerated in anthill, caterpillar exudes a nutritive secretion made up of a mixture of chemical substances. In summer, butterflies hatch and crawl along galleries to open their wings before spreading. At this stage individuals of both sexes meet to mate \u2026 a new cycle can then begin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
